Know what every load really pays.

Steady Road is an iPhone app for owner-operator car haulers. Talk to Sark, the AI inside, while you drive. It counts every mile (including the drive home), logs your trips, files your BOLs, and estimates what you kept after your costs.

Built and tested on a working 5-car hauler in Southern California. Works alongside Super Dispatch and your ELD.

Example conversation. Numbers are for illustration.

What it does best

Your clerk and money counter, in one app you talk to.

Know your money

Ask "is this load worth it?" and Sark counts every mile, including the drive home, and compares it with your last two weeks. See what you made and what you kept (estimated after the costs you enter) for the day, week, month and year. Send an invoice by email with a few words.

Paperwork, read for you

You get your own Steady Road email address. Forward your BOLs and dispatch emails to it, or snap a picture of a BOL, receipt or pay screen. Sark reads it and files the trip, the cars and the pay. If it gets something wrong, tell it and it fixes it.

Sark, by voice

Sark is a voice assistant built for the cab. Log three trips in one breath, ask what a load pays per mile, or have it look something up. Uses Motive? Sark can tell you your drive time left (Motive connection in testing). Talk, don't type.

  • OBD plug: real MPG, fuel, odometer, engine codes
  • Service and paperwork expiry reminders
  • Shift map with your stops
  • Teach Sark your own rules
  • Time card

Coming next Not in the app yet

  • Who still owes you, and a heads-up when a load pays short
  • One-tap export of all your records
  • Turn-by-turn inside the app. Until then, trips open in the GPS or maps app you already use.

Works with what you use

Keep your apps. Steady Road does the part they don't.

Steady Road isn't a load board, a broker or an ELD, and it doesn't try to replace them. Keep Super Dispatch for broker loads and inspections, and keep your ELD for your logs. Steady Road is the driver's own clerk on top: paperwork, trips, miles and money.

Your data is yours

You're the customer, not the product.

Steady Road will be a paid app, so our business is the subscription, not your records. Pricing will be shared before launch.

  • No ads.Nothing in the app is there to sell you something.
  • We don't sell your data. And we don't share it for advertising.
  • Your records aren't visible to other drivers, brokers or shippers. You choose what to send them.
  • Get a copy of your records.Email us from your account email and we'll send them. One-tap export is coming.
  • Leave whenever you want.Delete your account right in the app.

Talk, don't touch.

Set up before you drive. While you're moving, use Steady Road by voice only, and if anything needs your eyes or hands, wait until you're safely parked. Sark can make mistakes, so check anything important before you act on it. Read the driving safety notice.

Questions

Straight answers

Is Steady Road a load board?

No. It doesn't sell or post loads. It reads the load emails and paperwork you already get and helps you decide whether a load is worth it.

Is it an ELD?

No. Steady Road isn't an ELD or a logbook. We're testing a read-only Motive connection so Sark can tell you your remaining drive time. Your ELD stays the official record.

Does it replace Super Dispatch?

No. Keep using Super Dispatch for broker loads and inspections. Steady Road works alongside it and handles the driver's side: paperwork, trips, miles and money.

Is it on Android?

Not yet. It's iPhone first.

How much will it cost?

Steady Road will be a paid app. We'll share pricing before launch, and people on the early access list hear first.

What does "kept" mean?

"Kept" estimates load pay minus diesel and the daily costs you entered, such as truck payment and insurance. It doesn't confirm the payment was received, and it doesn't include costs you haven't entered. You can change your costs any time by telling Sark.

Who is Sark?

Sark is the AI assistant inside Steady Road. It can make mistakes, so check addresses, times, pay and VINs before you act on them.

Who makes Steady Road?

Sark Labs LLC, a small California software company. Steady Road started in the cab of a working 5-car hauler in Southern California.
